COOKIE POLICY
Last Updated: 23 September 2026
1. Scope of This Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains cookies and similar technologies on https://finenze.com (the “Site”) and the Finenze web App at https://finenze.app. It is part of the Privacy Policy.
2. Site Pages
The Site does not use cookies, local storage, session storage, analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or similar tracking technologies. The Site self-hosts its fonts. Where the Site offers a contact form, it posts to Formspree only when you submit it. No cookie-consent banner is displayed on the Site.
3. App Session and Sign-In State
The consumer web App sets a first-party cookie required for signed-in use:
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| finenze_session | Keeps you signed in on the web App so it can reach your account. Not used for advertising. | First-party session cookie. | Up to five days, or the sign-in session lifetime, whichever applies. | finenze.app |
Scroll the table horizontally to see all columns.
The web App and mobile apps may keep short-lived sign-in state and setup drafts on your device so interrupted onboarding can resume. Those drafts are device-only, expire after 24 hours, and never hold passwords, codes, or tokens. The iOS and Android apps do not set finenze_session; they use app sign-in tokens instead. Signing out clears local setup drafts unless a short reauth hand-off is in progress.
4. Consent and Future Changes
There is no cookie-consent banner because the only consumer cookie on finenze.app is strictly necessary for sign-in, and the Site sets none. If Finenze adds non-essential cookies or similar technologies, this Policy will be updated and any required notice or choice will be provided.
Signing out of the web App clears finenze_session. You may also delete cookies in your browser; doing so will sign you out of the web App.
